Privacy policy

BezelBase is a community reference wiki. We try to collect as little personal data as possible and to be explicit about what is stored.

What gets logged

When you browse the site, our web server records the request URL, the time, your IP address, and your browser user agent. This is standard server access logging and is used to diagnose outages and mitigate abuse.

When you create an account or edit a page, MediaWiki stores the username, a hashed password, the edit history of each page you contribute to, and the IP address attached to each edit (IP is visible only to administrators for unregistered edits, and not publicly shown for logged-in edits).

What we do not collect

We do not run third-party advertising trackers. We do not sell or share contributor data. We do not require an email address to read the wiki.

Cookies

MediaWiki sets session cookies when you log in to keep you signed in across page views. No other cookies are set by the site itself.

Contact

If you have a question about data held in your account, or would like an edit attributed to your IP address removed, please reach out via the talk page of any administrator.
